Ballet and Tap

Makenzie dances at High Steppers in Victorville, I also danced at this same studio when I was 7 years old.

Palm springs Sept 2007

Every year for the last 4 summers we have spent a week in Palm Springs. We stay at the Westin in Rancho Mirage. We go for the Mrs. Globe Pageant that my dental office in Temecula raises money for. The Globe pageant is a vehicle to raise money for batter and abused women. We love the pageant and we love our stay at the resort.

Bathtime bubbles

Every year before Makenzie's birthday, she has a bubble bath. Of course she has others throughout the year, but this is always the one that gets the photos taken. I'm sure it will stop soon, it's so sad that she's just not a baby anymore.

Here's a view of the mountain fires from our upstairs bathroom window. Scary!

Carving Pumpkins

Today October 28th we carved our pumpkins
Makayla had her friends Heather and Ashley over.
Heather and Ashley are foster girls staying with Makenzie's babysitter. Hope you all have a happy Halloween We will be spending it in Redlands, as we have for the last 3 years.

California Adventure June 26th 2007

I've gone to these Disneyland parks a thousand times and never ran into to kids carnival at CA Adventure. It is so much fun for kids Makenzie's age. We didn't have Makayla with us this day, she was visiting at aunt Cindy's. So, I think we had more time to spend on the little kid things.

Makenzie is very independent. She has to do everything herself. She would not let Daddy do the driving. She could do it herself!

Makenzie Goes to Disneyland almost every month with my mom and Dad. She wore a Minnie Mouse dress every time for a year and the employee's actually started knowing her and calling her their little Minnie. Than she got a sleeping beauty dress. And, today she wanted to dress like Tinkerbell, only this dress isn't the real thin and she loved it. We had it at home and it didn't cost me a penny, these princess can be quite expensive!

Makayla's 4th grade talent show last May

I am still trying to catch up so bare with me when I get some old pics in here!

Las Vegas Baby!

Eating Breakfast at The Hotel. Makenzie looked so grown up to me.

Thursday morning, Makayla rode to Vegas in a stretch Limo with my Aunt and Uncle, Todd and Cindy. They were going to a World leadership group convention and Makayla was going to have fun at the pool. I have never been in a Limo before so I wanted to go too of course!
So, I flew into Vegas Thursday Night after a full day of work and stayed at The Hotel at Mandalay Bay and for 2 days I enjoyed the beach. Mind you this is the thursday 3 days before leaving for Yosemite which requires major packing. I got to ride home in the Limo and I got home late sat night and left for another 8 days just a few hours later. Mind you, Mike did all the packing for Yosemite and let me and the girls go lounge around a pool. What a Man! All that for a Limo ride and some fun in Vegas. It really wore me out!

Yosemite July 2007

July 15th we left for Yosemite with our neighbors , for an 8 day trip. It always feels like were in heaven when we go camping. We tent camp, so we get a little weary of the bears at night. We just make sure Makenzie is real clean from the sticky marshmallows around the campfire, we would want the bears to come and lick her in the middle of the night. As you can tell from the pics, the scenery is beautiful, but as for us our hair is wind blown and there is no such thing as Make-up on these trips and keeping Makenzie clean is about 10 outfit changes per day.
Tuolomne Meadows river in the campground.
Hike to the top of Lembert Dome with a view of Tuolomne Meadows.

Hike to Soda Springs.

Drinking the spring water, it was disgusting!

this is the Baxter Family, Julie Geo, McKinzie, Jaden, Jace, and Alanah. They are our neighbor's. Makenzie was so happy to have her friends join us.

Yosemite Valley

This is the beautiful Half Dome.

Olmstead Point overlooking Half Dome way back in the distance. This is on the way back to our campground after visiting the valley. The valley is almost 2 hours from Tuolomne Meadows because they lowered the speed limit to prevent cars from hitting the beautiful bears and birds.

Baby John turns 1!

Happy 1st birthday!

Makenzie doing ballet on Makayla's 1st day of 5th grade.

A lot of catching up to do!

It's been a long summer and I've taken a ton of pictures. I guess just to stay on top of things, I'll start with August and move back. I still have pictures from last year I want to post, I guess this blog has been the best way I know how to share our family photos with all of you. If anyone knows me, I always have a camera in my hands, and I love capturing special moments. So, if you think I have too many pictures, I can't help it it's so hard to choose the ones I like best.
Love, Carol

Father's Day 2007

Grandma Geri, My Dad's Mom
Tracy

Grandpa George

Uncle Steve

Father's Day was so nice. We had my Dad's parents from San Diego, My Dad's Brother Steve from Laguna and his family, and my sister, brother and myself all at my parents house. The highlight of the day was playing wuffle ball (golf with a plastic ball). Having lots of land is great for playing golf!

Wrightwood Country Club, May 28th 2007

Makenzie loves the water!

Makayla and Melissa.

Makenzie absolutely loves the water.
A year later, Drew is now old enough to swim!

Drew Walczynski came to keep us company.

This unfortunately was our last day at the country club. This year we didn't renew our membership.

Wrightwood Country Club June 6th, 2006

We spent the day having a delicious barbeque with the Jones and the Walczynski's.
Greta and Wilton Jones were here for the summer from Norway.
We miss them so much when their gone.

Makayla and her Grandpa have always been best buddies.
Makenzie loved running around naked, Caden was running scared, trying to get his shoes back from the naked one year old!
This is Drew Walczynski. He wasn't quite old enough to swim yet.

This one speaks for itself.
